I.C.S.E. Board - The Delhi ICSE Education board

The ICSE, or Indian Certificate of Secondary Education, is actually one of the two exams conducted by the CISCE. It is held at the end of the Class X academic year. Students passing this test are promoted to the senior secondary classes. Hence, secondary schools under the CISCE board are known as ICSE schools. The board itself is also referred to as the ICSE board or the Delhi ICSE board.

The CISCE board is a non-governmental, school level education board. It was founded in 1956. It was listed in the Delhi School Education Act of 1973. Since 1973, it has been recognized as a body that holds “public” examinations.
